What is the Thallon Truck Pull?
The Thallon Truck Pull is good ol' country family fun at its finest, with loads on offer for everyone.
At the heart of this thrilling event is a spirited competition of strength and skill. Crews of six take on the challenge of pulling a 12-tonne prime mover over 25 meters in the fastest time. Each team gets three attempts—fastest time wins!

Although event date is yet to be confirmed, the 2026 Thallon Truck Pull will again feature both Men’s and Women’s Competitions, with each winning team taking home a potential $3000!
Previous events in 2021, 2022, and 2024 attracted hundreds of spectators who came from far and wide to enjoy the electric atmosphere and community spirit. As teams show off their strength and determination, families can enjoy our Kids Zone to keep the little ones entertained all day long. Between the pulls, visitors can explore our market stalls, indulge in delicious hot food, grab a drink from the bar, and groove to some fantastic music while soaking in the friendly, country hospitality. Great food is available for lunch and dinner during the event, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

All Funds Raised Go Towards Imporvements for the School Kids!
Thanks to your support from past events, the Thallon State School P&C Association has made significant improvements to our small rural school, including a new playground with a new shade structure in 2023.
In 2025, we added educational playground markings to brighten up the students' day.
The Thallon Truck Pull is our major fundraising event, supporting our students with enriching school experiences and helping make these improvements possible.
